Of the 10 measures analyzed, 3D Energy recommended implementation of 6 measures that would save approximately $9,159 a year with a simple payback of 3.7 years. These measures included lighting upgrades and pipe insulation in the mechanical room. The other four measures were not recommended due to the cost of implementation, a lengthy payback period, as well as other factors. If implemented, the recommended ECM’s would result in a 26% reduction in electricity consumption and 3% reduction in natural gas consumption. Additionally, this would result in an annual reduction of 55 tons of CO2e, the equivalent to taking approximately 12 cars off the road.
