Laurier Heights Community Solar Array

Laurier Heights community league is the proud owner of a rooftop solar system. The solar array makes clean energy to offset 21.6tCO2e per year, which is equal to taking six cars off the road. The solar array also extends the life of the roof significantly. The 40.4 kW DC solar array is made of 100 solar modules and is expected to last twenty five years.

We designed this project to meet 100% of the facility’s annual electricity consumption. Generate Energy and Vital Engineering provided design and electrical engineering services and managed the permitting process. Then the site crew completed the install and the system was commissioned in no time. Generate Energy also helped Laurier Heights community with the Alberta Municipal Solar Program funding application.
