Fume Hood, Ventilation, and Controls upgrades were made to the Natural Resources Engineering Facility building at University of Alberta. The NREF Fume Hood, Ventilation, and Controls upgrade project was designed/developed to provide a series of retrofits to existing lab space located on the all floors of the Allan P. Markin/Canadian Natural Resources Limited Natural Resources Engineering Facility (NREF) building. These retrofits were designed to reduce the overall energy consumption of the space while maintaining the air quality and air velocity requirements as well as adhering to all building codes and standards for lab spaces.
